Urban Exploration – King Edward School – 3rd Floor
The King Edward School here in Calgary, Alberta has been abandoned for the past ten years. Considering it’s unused nature it doesn’t look too bad in some places (and really crazy nasty in others).
I found it spooky how all the doors were open in this fashion, presumably because some fo them are permanently locked.
When I make my HDR’s I take careful consideration to how it looked when I was there, but if course I incorporate how I feel as well.

A couple shot near the west LRT project.
I don’t use presets nearly enough (don’t normally trust them) so this time I decided to use a couple. the garbage is an agfapan preset and the other an ilford.

Halfway through now, I still find the whole process extremely challenging. Even while going to some of my favourite spots. Don’t get me wrong, I’m only complaining a little. This is why I chose to do this TO DEATH, so I’m forced to think outside the box while being confined to a tiny box

Ode 2 the 50mm~Day14/30
Both taken in Bowness. The house was on fire the week before, you can see right through it in some places. To get the shot I set up a tripod and shot it through the fence. It’s an HDR.
